This Now: Tasks & Focus
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains how This Now handles information when you use the app and this website. The app is provided by Viatcheslav Ortynskyi.
1. Your tasks stay on your device
Task titles, importance values, target dates, completion history, productivity statistics and app settings are stored locally on your device. The app does not upload this information to the developer or to a developer-operated server. Statistics and priorities are calculated on your device.
The app does not provide account-based cloud synchronization. Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your Apple or Android settings. Those backups are managed by the operating system provider, not by us.
2. What we do not collect
We do not create user accounts, collect task contents, access your contacts or location, use advertising identifiers, or integrate advertising or third-party analytics SDKs in the app. We do not sell or share your task data.
3. Full Unlock purchases
On iOS, the optional one-time Full Unlock purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. The app uses StoreKit to verify purchase entitlement and restore access. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple processes store and transaction information under its own privacy policy. Payment processing requires a connection to the App Store.
The Android version is currently being tested; Google Play purchasing has not yet been connected. We will update this policy if its payment handling changes.
4. App icon badge and notifications
If you enable the badge, the app requests the relevant notification permission and calculates the number of tasks needing attention locally. On iOS, it uses local badge updates. On Android, a quiet notification represents the count; its appearance depends on the launcher. You can turn the badge off in the app or revoke notification permission in your device settings.
5. Retention and deletion
Tasks remain in local app storage until you delete them. Completing a task preserves its history until deletion. You can delete individual tasks in the app. Removing the app and its local data removes the local task list and settings; merely offloading an iOS app may preserve its data. Copies in operating-system backups are subject to your backup provider’s settings. Purchase records held by Apple are managed separately by Apple.
6. This website and support
This website is hosted using Google Firebase Hosting. We do not add analytics, advertising scripts, tracking pixels or account forms to it. Google may process technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the hosting service. Visiting this website does not send your app task list to us.
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and keep correspondence only as needed for support or applicable obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when app features or data handling change. The date above identifies the latest update.
